Help tell the story

Here are a variety of perspectives that were developed over time. Do you see an angle that could be fleshed out to help convince others how important this is? This message should appeal to most of our neighbors:

• Progressives get fairness without punishment. It lifts the bottom.

• Conservatives get personal responsibility—with a boost, not a bureaucracy.

• Libertarians get more freedom and less micromanagement.

• Centrists get a practical, evidence-based, incremental roadmap.

However, UBI is often met with immediate dismissal as being too simplistic, utopian, or dystopian.

We don’t know the right level for UBI, but we know it’s greater than 0. We need to figure out the math.

We can dig further into the curve of progress as we think about the right level of basic income. Check out the sweet spot or the path to progress.

This is actually what we always wanted. It’s what we thought we were getting when we invented money. We’ve made significant progress, but it could be so much better.

We’re not cutting the pie differently … we’re making more pie!
